After two days of workshops in Skövde under the guidance of the University of Skövde, researchers from universities and research institutions have formed the new association, the Council of Swedish Games Researchers (SSFR), open to individual researchers promoting Swedish game research.
An interim board has been formed with Per Backlund (University of Skövde) as chairman, Björn Flintberg (research institute RISE) as secretary, Veronica Sundstedt (Blekinge Institute of Technology) as treasurer, and with Patrick Prax (Uppsala University) and Thomas Westin (Stockholm University) as members. The interim board will serve until the first regular annual meeting of the association in 2023.
